“Kick up Your heels” Celebrate Kansas’ 150^th Birthday-- Decorations Contest

Silhouettes of boots and coloring contest entries will be displayed throughout the fairgrounds for all to enjoy.

                            Boot Silhouette entry and judging criteria information:

1. Boot silhouettes will be judged based on creativity, originality and overall eye appeal. (paint, fabric and other materials can be used  to decorate boots)
2. Boots will remain on the fairgrounds and will be used for decoration during the fair. Holes may be drilled to display.
3. Contact theme committee at theme@jocokansasfair.com to order silhouette by June 1st (click here for Registration form). 
4. $10 fee for categories A, B ,C & D.
5. $50 fee for businesses category E.
6. Two wood cut out boot silhouettes will be provided and available for pick up on Sunday, June12th from 2 to 4pm and Wed, June 15^th from 5 to 7pm at the fair office.
7. Decorated boots may be turned in to the fair office anytime from July 30^th through August 6^th from 8:00am until 1:00pm.  Judging will be August 6^th 1:30pm.
8. All entries must be able to withstand weather elements as they will be displayed outside.
9. An entry tag (available at the fair office at check in) must be filled out and attached to the back of the boots.

10. Decorated boots will be divided into the following categories:
1. Youth Groups
2. Adult over age 18
3. Individual youth age 7-12
4. Individual youth age 13- 17
5. Business
11. Entries must be picked up on Sunday Aug. 13th by 1:00pm.  Item left will become the property of the Johnson County Fair.

*Ribbons will be awarded in each category, prize money for Overall Grand Champion & Reserve Grand Champion
